Scarifying

Scarifying is carried out to remove dead organic matter (thatch) and moss whilst also removing the lateral growth.  When a lawn is very soft  and spongy it is a good indication of the presence of thatch which requires removal.  We use the pedestrian and tractor mounted GRADEN machines that can go up to a depth of 1 ¾ “.

All arisings are cleared away using the Turfmech SQRL pedestrian and CAT800 Ride on Sweeper/Collector.  Both machines are capable of tipping into a skip or compost area.
